What time does the ceremony begin and what time should I arrive?
The wedding ceremony will begin promptly at 5:00 pm at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Cathedral. Please arrive by 4:30 pm to ensure that all guests may be seated before the procession begins. Please see the “Events” tab of this website for more information.
What is the attire for the ceremony and reception?
The attire for our wedding is Black Tie Optional.
We ask that ladies wear a formal evening gown or floor-length dress, or a dressy jumpsuit or pantsuit. We ask that gentlemen wear either a tuxedo or a dark suit and tie.
What time will the reception be?
The reception will begin at the Two Mississippi Museums following the conclusion of the wedding ceremony. The reception will end at 10:30 pm. Please see the “Events” tab of this website for more information.
Will there be a rehearsal dinner?
Due to space constraints and to ease travel for many of our guests, we will be having a smaller rehearsal dinner for our wedding party and select guests. We invite all other guests to join our welcome party from 8:00 pm - 10:30 pm on Friday, April 10 at The Faulkner in Downtown Jackson. Susanna and Ryan will make an appearance at the welcome party after the conclusion of the rehearsal dinner. Please see the “Events” tab of this website for more information.
May I bring a plus one?
Please consult your invitation. If your invitation includes a plus one, they are more than welcome to join us.
How do I RSVP and when is the deadline?
Please use the "RSVP" tab of this website to note your attendance. We ask that all guests RSVP by March 11, 2026.
What will the weather be like?
Spring in Jackson is gorgeous, with many days in the seventies and cool evenings in the sixties and fifties. We hope that our wedding day features this incredible weather. We plan to have a tented reception outdoors. However, if rain or weather should intervene, we will move the reception indoors.
What is the best way to travel to Jackson, Mississippi?
We are grateful and honored that so many of our guests will journey to Jackson to celebrate with us. Unless you are within driving distance, the best way to travel to Jackson is to fly into Jackson-Medgar Wiley Evers Airport (JAN). Should it work better for your travel, you may also fly into New Orleans, Louisiana (MSY) and drive to Jackson. The drive from New Orleans to Jackson is approximately two and a half hours on Interstate 55.
Do you have a hotel room block reserved?
Yes, we have reserved room blocks at multiple hotels. Please see the “Travel” tab on this website for more information and to access the booking sites.
Can I stay in an AirBNB?
Yes, there are numerous AirBNBs available in Jackson. If you are planning on staying in an AirBNB, please consult with Susanna and Ryan prior to booking so that we may advise you on areas and neighborhoods to prioritize in your search.
What kind of food will be served at the reception?
We are pleased to provide hors d'oeuvres and a seated dinner, catered by a Jackson institution, Emerson and Effie's. The food will be upscale Southern cuisine. We also will provide multiple dessert options during the reception.
Will there be vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options?
Yes. Please indicate any dietary restrictions in your RSVP and our caterer will accommodate them.
Will there be an open bar?
Yes, there will be an open bar for all guests aged 21 and over at the reception.
